Man given CBO in Fakenham

A man has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) following offences in Fakenham.

The 24-year-old man appeared at King’s Lynn Magistrates’ Court last week (9 July 2026) where he was handed a three-year CBO which states he can't:

Enter Fakenham town centre between 5pm and 7am.

Remain on any land or in any premises having been asked to leave by the owner or occupier

Enter any shop or premises which he has been banned from

This order was obtained following incidents in which he failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice (handed to him by the courts in 2025) and assaulted a police officer.

For people who continue to commit offences despite intervention, officers will gather evidence and build a case to seek court orders such as CBOs. Breaching a CBO is classed as a criminal offence, and therefore when reoffending takes place, police have further powers of arrest available to them.
